Agreement
By downloading, installing, or using Curlo ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Curlo on Macs that you own or control for your personal or internal business use.
Curlo is licensed, not sold. You may not redistribute, sublicense, resell, rent, lease, or otherwise provide Curlo or Pro access to any third party except as expressly permitted by us.
Subscriptions & Purchases
Curlo offers a free tier and paid Pro access, including monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, and lifetime purchases. Payments, taxes, receipts, invoices, and subscription billing are processed by Creem, acting as merchant of record, or another payment provider we designate.
- Payment is charged through the checkout flow shown at purchase.
- Subscription plans automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
- Monthly subscriptions renew each month, and yearly subscriptions renew each year, unless canceled.
- You are responsible for keeping your billing information current
- Refunds, cancellations, and billing support are handled according to these Terms, the policies shown at checkout, and the applicable payment provider's terms.
Managing and Canceling Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel a Curlo subscription from Curlo's Settings > Pro screen, through the Creem Customer Portal at https://www.creem.io/my-orders/login, or by contacting us at [email protected].
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals. Unless otherwise required by law or stated during checkout, cancellation does not automatically refund the current billing period, and Pro access may remain available until the end of the paid period.
Refunds
If you believe a charge was made in error or you need billing help, contact [email protected] with the email address used for purchase and your Creem receipt or order reference. Refund eligibility may depend on applicable law, Creem's merchant-of-record policies, the checkout terms shown at purchase, and whether Pro access has already been used.
Pro Access and Email Binding
Pro access is bound to the email address used during purchase or activation. To use Pro features, you may need to verify or sign in with that same email address in Curlo. If you use a different email address, Curlo may not be able to recognize your Pro entitlement.
You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining access to that email account. If you lose access to the purchase email address, contact support and provide sufficient proof of purchase so we can evaluate whether the entitlement can be transferred or restored.
You may not share, resell, transfer, or attempt to bypass Pro entitlement checks. We may suspend or revoke Pro access if we reasonably believe an entitlement is being abused, shared outside its intended use, obtained fraudulently, or used in violation of these Terms.
Free and Pro Features
Curlo's free tier and Pro tier may include different feature limits and capabilities. We may change feature availability, limits, or pricing from time to time. Any changes to active paid subscriptions will be handled according to applicable law and the terms shown at checkout.
Lifetime purchases provide access to the paid Curlo features described at the time of purchase, subject to these Terms. Lifetime access does not guarantee every future paid product, separate service, cloud feature, or major product line unless we expressly say so. Lifetime access is not a subscription and does not renew.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Curlo only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You shall not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app to process audio files that you do not have the right to access
- Redistribute, sublicense, resell, rent, lease, or share the app or Pro access
- Attempt to bypass, tamper with, or disable license, subscription, or entitlement verification
- Use another person's email address, purchase record, or entitlement without permission
Your Content
Curlo processes audio files, metadata, tags, and classifications that you provide or create ("Your Content"). You retain full ownership of Your Content. Curlo does not claim any rights over your files or data.
All Your Content is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, and cannot recover, any of Your Content.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Curlo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Metadata Operations
Curlo provides the ability to edit and write metadata back to your audio files. We are not responsible for any data loss, file corruption, or unintended modifications that may result from metadata writing operations. We strongly recommend maintaining backups of your files before performing batch metadata operations.
Search Accuracy
Semantic search and similar audio search results are generated by machine learning models and may not always be accurate or complete. Results should not be relied upon as the sole method of locating critical files.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Qianlan Du shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of Curlo.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to your jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.
